1988 Porsche 911 Turbo "Slant Nose" convertible with only 3250 miles from new!! Original, numbers matching 505-code car as confirmed by Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. It is a two-owner, California car ready to compliment any fine collection. After a six-year hiatus because of new US emissions regulations and the development of a new electronic engine management system to control exhaust emissions, Porsche brought the 911 Turbo back to the U.S. market in 1986. During that period, clients asked the factory to create a street-legal version of the brilliant 935 Group 5 car under its Special Wishes Program (Sonderwunschprogramm). The highly coveted edition featured a flat, aerodynamic nose with retractable headlights, widened and louvered front fenders, more muscular rear quarters with air intakes and stylish strakes, extended and boxed rocker panels, an additional oil cooler, and a large rear spoiler, which housed an intercooler atop the engine lid. After 930s returned to the U.S. market in 1986, Porsche formalized the design the following year, with option number 505, also known as the 930S. Equipped with a four-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, this stunning Guards Red 1988 930 has only 3,250 miles and represents a rarity even for this limited edition collectible model. 2 keys, books, and records included. Quite possibly the finest example currently offered for sale. Please call or email for more information.
